ESMERALDA

They rumble, they sparkle, they're the Sounds of Sommer. Founded when I first picked up a guitar, basically, back in the 20th century, XXIII RECORDS is now a home to all that quiet noise I made.  This page curates some of the things I produced over the last 10 years or so.

Some of it is a sort of sonic diary, some of it isn't, most of it happened in the heat of the moment, intended to be a 'just a demo' that got piled on but ultimately stranded on the shores of forgotten ideas. Turns out, I stranded there myself one day and found all these dirty pebbles and uncut gems, full of mud and hidden sparkle of original inspiration. I guess that's my sound now.

If you are a musician and should find yourself sampled, let's sort it out, I don't mean to steal from anyone. Neither do I want to be stolen from, but if something rings your bell, feel free to fiddle around with it in any way you can imagine. If you send me a cover of one of my songs, you get an album of your choice from this page for free.
